@natologyIndependent Curator & Art Advisor, Miami - USA
Life is a celebration in Miami! A colorful and creative city whose art deco palette of pastel decadence provides the ideal backdrop for all manner of art, culture, and entertainment. Enjoy everything the Magic City has to offer, following in the footsteps of local independent curator and art advisor, Nathaly Charria from the Natology (natologyproject.com).
Hotel: Freehand
The ultimate meeting place for locals and visitors alike. Located in Miami Beach and nestled amongst tropical surrounds, the Freehand offers affordable accommodations in a totally chill environment. Oh, and the food is awesome! Definitely one of my favorite hangouts. Grab a handcrafted cocktail at the Broken Shaker and strike up a conversation, either with one of the locals or a fellow traveler!
Breakfast: Enriqueta's
You can’t visit Miami without trying Cuban coffee! And the day doesn't begin until you’ve stopped by Enriqueta’s in Midtown for a cafecito. My personal favorite? The Cortadito: the Cuban equivalent of a caffé macchiato, an espresso mixed with milk to sugary perfection. For a classic Cuban breakfast, pair it with a Pastelito and your sweet tooth is good to go. Enriqueta’s is an independently owned Miami establishment that is widely considered the best of its kind as it's often frequented by local artists, curators, and musicians.

Sweat Records is a staple for Miami music lovers. Curated by Miami’s very own Lolo Reskin, a resident DJ and community activist who has been involved in nurturing Miami’s independent music scene since its very beginnings. In between browsing, be sure to try the vegan and vegetarian goodies on offer from the in-house organic café. Also, check out the assortment of kawaii gifts for Sweat's unique stock of souvenirs.

Museum: PAMM
PAMM is one of the most breathtaking destinations in the city. A must if you’re into modern and/or contemporary art and worth the trip even just for the architecture, designed by Herzog & de Meuron. There are more unique souvenirs to be had from PAMM Shop, carefully curated by local artist and store director Michael Balbone. Credit: Arturo Herrera, When Alone Again III, 2001. Restaurant: 27 Restaurant
Back to where we started! Just next door to the Miami Freehand is restaurant “27”. I adore the vibe here: very cozy and just like having a home-cooked meal. The restaurant downstairs offers a nice sit-down environment while upstairs you can enjoy a mixology cocktail while listening to sweet tunes by local DJs. The menu is a virtual homage to Miami’s diversity: a melting pot of flavors and cultures!
