If, like me, you love a friendly space and unique products, you’re going to love SLOU! Without a doubt, one of my favorite menswear shops in the city, with a great selection of Portuguese and international brands and plenty of exclusive items you won’t find anywhere else.

Viewpoint: Sao Pedro de Alcantara
This garden was created in 1864 and is such a fabulous place to come and hit the reset button. From here you can get a unique perspective on the old city, the famous São Jorge Castle and the Tejo river. The city has 16 official lookout points. But if you know where to find them, there are over 100 more tucked away between the hills and buildings.

Espaço has everything you need; from the hippest fashion brands of the moment to magazines, interior design, music and more! Which go nicely with the exclusive Eastpak designer collections you’ll also find here.

Shopping Gallery: Embaixada
For a truly unique piece of Portugal, you cannot look past Embaixada. It is worth a visit for the iconic building alone, a 19th century Arabian palace! But inside, you’ll find even more to gawk at, including dozens of different Portuguese brands and artists. Take your time to explore all the stores full of design items, craft, fashion, gastronomy and culture.

Lunch: Bastardo
Bastardo’s is one address with a very different atmosphere and a fun sense of style. Here, the food is served with plenty of Portuguese flavor but with a twist of so many others cultures, styles and concepts. Take a seat next to the window and enjoy the amazing view over stunning Rossio square.

Art space: LX Factory
This once old, abandoned factory has namely been transformed into a bustling creative village right under the 25 de Abril bridge. It's one of my favorite places. Here you’ll find an inspiring mix of fashion, music, advertising, multimedia, architecture and so many other things.

Bookstore: Ler Devagar
OK, so you’ve taken the plunge Inside LX Factory and come across this beautiful book store with its old print machines. Let your imagination run wild amongst the fantastic collection of books & design pieces and the flash exhibitions that often pop up here!

Chocolate: Landeau
Landeau is famous for their amazing chocolate cake that is homemade by owner Sofia. Be sure to allow yourself enough time to digest this delicious piece of craftsmanship and indulgence!

Museum: Coleção Berardo
Museu Colecção Berardo is probably the most important museum in Lisbon for contemporary art, this is the place where so many amazing artists come to life: from Pablo Picasso to Marcel Duchamp, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Amadeo de Souza Cardoso, Paula Rego and Helena Almeida. That’s in addition to the many temporary exhibitions!

Rooftop bar: Park
Time to find a cosy rooftop bar to kick back with a cocktail or two, listen to some tunes and watch the sun set. Park is my favorite secret hideaway in the city! While you’re there, be sure to strike up a conversation with the locals.

Restaurant: Cantinho do Avillez
A vibrant mix of modern and traditional food in a really comfortable setting. José Avillez is one of the best Portuguese Chefs and this restaurant will bring you the best of Portuguese food with subtle influences from other places he has visited. A truly uplifting gastronomic experience.

Bar: Pensão Amor
Pink Street – Cais do Sondré – is the place to be for nightlife in Lisbon. My tip to kickstart a magical night: get warmed up at Pensão Amor. This hip bar used to be a brothel and if you look closely, you’ll notice a slight, lingering burlesque feel to the place. An incredible atmosphere full of art and eccentricity.

Club: Lux
Lux is my favorite club and surely one of the best in Europe! You’ll discover an impressive line-up of DJ’s, all year round. And in the summer, the buzz pours out onto the terrace, fueled by Lux’s own signature ice-cream cocktail: the Luxini!
